Off To A Rough Start

Who knew that checking the boxes next to your posts and then pressing delete would actually delete your posts? My friend Iza obviously didn't. So, now I lost my very first post about Project X and the second about 10 movies where characters don't exist. But, to be honest, I wasn't even mad at Iza, not even when he muttered and stuttered through an explanation (something about a practical joke). It gave me food for thought on how to re-start this blog after just a few days of existence. I realize that I tried to take myself too seriously with my first two posts, perhaps trying to emulate Alex over at And So It Begins... and Tyler from Southern Vision, my two favorite movie bloggers (Tyler needs to come back more regularly ASAP, just an fyi. He's the one who got me doped up on this movie blog business in the first place). Point is, it is best to be yourself.

In honor of staying true to myself, I will kick the new year off with a countdown of my favorite movies of all time that should last until the end of January (giving me plenty of time to watch and perhaps include Django, which I just know I will love to pieces!). This will be a way to showcase my movie tastes and what this blog will resemble when it, hopefully, hits a stride.
Then starting February and lasting until November, I will do my own version of AFI's 100 Years...100 Stars. Each month, I will select 2 of my favorite stars (1 male and 1 female), highlight their best movies/performances, and watch/review 2 unfamiliar movies from each. This should indeed keep me busy for 2013, although I can assure you that there will probably be more, little random movie-related tidbits in between. And some therapeutic posts here and there about my auditioning for a school play.
In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of 7 alternate names that I considered for my blog:

1) The Blog I Live In
2) Gentlemen Prefer Blogs
3) The Blog Suicides (I'm having second thoughts about not using that one)
4) Blogs Of A Summer Night (Bergman's rolling in his grave)
5) Blog Lola Blog (between pussycat and lola, I don't know which sounds more feminine)
6) One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Blog
7) Gone With The Blog

Groovy!
